Restless Legs Syndrome
Patients with Restless Legs Syndrome will often describe a "creepy, crawly, like there are ants inside my skin" sensation in their arms or legs. They generally complain of the following symptoms of an acronym known as "URGE":
- Urge to move the arms or legs
- Rest Induced (worse when sitting or laying still)
- Gets better with activity (i.e. moving the arms or legs makes the sensation feel better)
- Evening worsening (symptoms are worse at night)
Fortunately, we offer a variety of potential treatment options for Restless Legs Syndrome (some of which can be as easy as dietary or supplement adjustments) that we can tailor to each patient. When properly treated, patients will frequently have significant improvement in symptoms.
